T-Stats Solutions is a tourism analytics platform that helps tourism boards, destination management, visitor attractions, and hospitality businesses track visitor numbers, accommodation occupancy, attraction visits, understand patterns, and make decisions about investment, marketing, and job creation. The product had real value and a growing client base.
However, when Metarelic Studio first engaged with T-Stats Solutions, the product was delivered as installed desktop software. Every new client required a physical installation. Every update required a site visit. Kevin and Jess, the founders, knew the product could serve destinations far beyond its original footprint. They needed a partner to take it to the cloud.

How to scale without losing the soul of the product?
The challenge was not simply a migration. T-Stats Solutions had to become a cloud-based platform while preserving the depth and flexibility that made it valuable; Each destination is different, each tracks different things. The platform had to be structured enough to scale, but flexible enough that no two deployments looked the same.
At the same time, the data architecture needed to handle growing volume: hundreds of trackers across dozens of destinations, pulling in accommodation occupancy, attraction visits, footfall, weather, social media, and more. All of it needed to be queryable, comparable, and reportable in realtime.

Seven years of continuous evolution
The engagement did not end at launch. As T-Stats Solutions expanded into new markets, we evolved the platform with them: new tracker types, new reporting dimensions, new integrations, and continuous performance improvements.
We work alongside Kevin and Jess as their product team, not as a vendor they check in with quarterly. That is what the seventh year looks like.
Platform architecture, cloud migration, and data engineering
We designed the cloud-based architecture from the ground up: multi-destination deployment, flexible tracker configuration, and a data model built for scale. The installed software became a cloud platform. The local client list became a scalable deployment model.
As data volumes grew, we redesigned the underlying architecture around a GA4-inspired flat event model, reducing query complexity and delivering a 43x improvement in query performance. Reports that previously took minutes now return in seconds. This is the architectural decision that made scale possible.
A platform that changes how destinations make decisions
T-Stats Solutions now processes 117 million records across 585 active trackers. It operates across the UK and parts of Africa, giving destinations real-time visibility into visitor patterns that inform decisions about investment, staffing, and marketing spend.
Tourism boards, regional destination management organisations, and individual visitor attractions use the platform to understand how local events affect accommodation occupancy, how weather impacts visitor behaviour, and where to invest next. What started as a product with real value but structural limits is now infrastructure for the tourism industry.
Seven years in, the partnership is ongoing. The product continues to evolve.
